As a wedding photographer Scotland, I have one simple goal: to take unposed pictures of genuine moments. Moments that will make you laugh, cry and become lost for words as you relive all that took place on your wedding day.

I am an Edinburgh wedding photographer, but travel across the whole of the Scotland and UK. Whatever or wherever your wedding venue is, a luxury Edinburgh Hotel, an atmospheric barn is Scottish Highlands, I’ll capture everything you dreamed of.

Thomas was wonderful to work with! My fiance and I met him in Edinburgh for an engagement shoot and it couldn't have worked out better. Thomas was extremely professional and knew all the best places for us to take each photo. He really spent time making sure each photo was perfectly captured and that the setting and scenery was just right! He captured every picture exactly how we envisioned it with such a creative touch! Our wedding photography style

My style is best described as hybrid, as I like to move between traditional and photojournalist styles. This gives me maximum potential to capture spectacular shots, whether that is of your whole wedding party or of the happy couple secretly stealing a newly-wed kiss, blissfully unaware that I’ve caught their romantic moment on camera. And, when you’ve asked me to photograph the bride and bridal party getting ready I can create elegant, feminine fine art style portraits.

It's about what you like

I ask all my couples to talk to me about what they like in my portfolio; as soon as we begin to explore the style of photos you are naturally drawn to the easier it is for us to develop an understanding of what will best suit you and your big day. My ethos is simple: if you like traditional shots of cutting the cake and big family portraits, then I’ll capture that in a beautiful way. Or, if you love the less formal reportage, photojournalist style images that reflect those special, more intimate moments, then those are the shots I can focus on. If you love both styles, I’ll create a perfectly balanced mix, just for you

Simple, timeless, and romantic

Whenever possible I work with natural surroundings and natural light to get a warm, slightly softer photo with a really authentic look. I explore your venue and the areas close by to make the most of natural backgrounds, and choose interesting settings that don’t distract from the happy couple but that give context through time and place.

Wedding photographs with bad weather or a dark venue

Fear not, you will still get the most beautiful wedding photos! I am highly experienced in working in challenging lighting conditions, including dimly lit venues and during periods of bad weather that bring atmospheric dark clouds. I have photographed happy couples in naturally dark venues.

Before your wedding day

In the run up to your wedding day consider booking an engagement photography session – it’s a great way to capture the excitement and romance of your engagement, practice relaxing in front of the camera, and gives you an opportunity to discuss and experiment with the style you’d like to achieve through on the big day.

After your wedding day

I’ll go away to work on creating a show-stopper of a wedding album for you; something truly beautiful that will keep your memories safe for a lifetime.
