Brig o’ Doon wedding photographer
Surrounded by their loved ones Laura and Chris got married in Alloway Parish Church, very atmospheric church built in 1858. Alloway is best known as the birthplace of Robert Burns, the national poet of Scotland. After the exchange of wedding vows, the couple and their guests went to Brig o’ Doon Hotel to celebrate their big day in style. I so much enjoyed being a Brig o’ Doon wedding photographer! The clear blue skies added to the day. Even without that the wedding party would have had a great time. The venue, which is just up the road from the famous bridge, is beautifully set up for a wedding, the staff are efficient and friendly and the surroundings are lovely as you can see below.
Laura and Chris’ wedding at the Brig o’ Doon was completely glamorous, yet easy and relaxed, and I’m a fan of every detail. Both Chris and beautiful Laura look so comfortable and natural. I think their photos radiate a kind of happiness that is wildly contagious!
Interesting fact: The Brig o’ Doon (Ayrshire, Scotland), sometimes called the Auld Brig or Old Bridge of Doon is a late medieval bridge and you can see it in few photographs above. The bridge is used as the setting for the final verse of the Robert Burns’s poem Tam o’ Shanter. It’s located very close to the Burns Memorial monument and gardens (Rabbies birthplace is nearby). The bridge also appeared on an issue of £5 notes in 2007.
